SAFEGUARDING

BLAZE UTH is an open-access youth event for young people aged 11-18 yrs. We are aware that young people attend on their own, with friends, or as part of their church youth group, supported by their youth leaders.

BLAZE UTH events are photographed & filmed for marketing purposes, therefore. if your child/someone in your youth club is NOT TO BE FILMED, then please get in touch prior to the event on junctionyouthnetwork@gmail.com. Variable colour lanyards will be discreetly provided for young people not able to have their photography taken or filmed, & we also ensure that we have a 'No Media Zone' sensibly sectioned off at all events
The Blaze Uth movement has a designated safeguarding lead & deputy who are trained up to Level 3 with the local safeguarding board & all team members are expected to complete a Safeguarding Level 1 qualification. All members of the BLAZE team undertake an enhanced DBS check, & are identified on the night by wearing a distinguishable lanyard.
If a disclosure is made by a young person to a member of the team on the night of any event, or following an event, please use the 'Complete Form' button below to log your concern to our safeguarding team. If appropriate, we may also get in touch with a significant adult from an appropriate setting, or a young person's youth leader, to ensure they’re properly supported. ​
